- A missionary kid, I grew up in Thailand, Laos, and Sarawak (on the Island of Borneo) - couldn't adapt to life in the US, so when the Cambodian refugee crisis brought me back to Thailand in 1980, I realized I was home. Went back to US - finished college, got Master's in Education - and came back in 1988 - and have no intentions of leaving. Married (to a Thai), no children but currently 4 cats. They're easier and cheaper.
